[These kids really are remarkable... so strong and so courageous. Shido thinks that he, himself, doesn't have nearly half the bravery of either one. Yet despite them being the ones forcing themselves to face their fears, Shido has realized it isn't entirely a one-sided affair. In fact, he now plays something of the role of a guardian... someone who watches over them, allowing the boys to push themselves but only just so. Because as he's seen in the past, they only have one goal: to get over their fears, irregardless of how hard they have to push themselves to do it. They're teenagers... incredible teenagers, but still teenagers, still a bit foolhardy and reckless and impatient. He remembers the outright terror that had Goro shaking like a leaf at the end of one of their sessions, and that's something he wants to avoid if he can.
Of course, it's only been a few short months, and Shido hasn't spent nearly enough time with the boys to pick up on their tells before such a fit seizes them, so he mostly has to rely on a gut feeling and general knowledge. Though a slight bit of tension lingers in his form, Akira seems to be doing well enough at the moment that he's mostly relaxed.]
Akira's going to hold a blink, take a slow breath, and then... walk forward. Immediately, his brow tenses; he doesn't stop walking forward in time, either, to prevent the slam of a... very intense sick feeling.
He's immediately going pale, and then very slowly moving back to the doorway. His face is clammy by the time he gets there, one trembling hand moving to his mouth. ]
[Well, he supposes that's what one would call a "tell". He immediately moves to cover the pot with the lid, then walks over to Akira, placing his hands on his shoulders.]
Easy there. Come on, out of the kitchen.
[Hopefully they can move quickly enough to keep the nausea from overpowering him...]

... Gently grips the front of Shido's shirt, and then rests his forehead against the older man's chest. He's not going to say anything to explain. Just... this, apparently. ]
There is a moment of hesitance, but only just that— a moment— before a hand comes up to gently settle on Akira's upper back. It takes a few more seconds, however, before the gesture becomes firmer and more secure.
[ He will turn and head back towards the kitchen, somewhat quickly. Though, once he gets far enough in that the smell is prominent, he comes to a pause... and then, with only a little hesitance, decides to head back over to where he was. ]
[He examines the boy quietly. He looks... just like a normal teenager, and yet he's done so much, and gone through so much. Through some... truly horrific things...]
[ For just a moment, he kind of... stares... a little. ]
Ah...
[ With a softened expression, he glances to the side, one hand lifting to press against the back of his neck. There's a moment of silence for a while, and then he holds a blink. ]
